Socotra: may get UNESCO's recognition

Yemen's Wonder land, the remote island of Socotra, may gain UNESCO's recognition in July - as a world natural heritage site. I very much hope that UNESCO decides favorably for Socotra. Socotra, the unique, magical Island which is about 200 kms. south of Al Mukalla, in the Arabian sea, needs UNESCO's shield. Watch this video from YouTube and feast on a few of the rare wonders on The Island:

Socotra is not only beautiful and pure magic. It's one of a kind; it's one of the top ten most unique islands on Earth. Unfortunately, if action isn't taken fast, the Island's unique and pristine nature won't last long.

أرجوكم أن تعذروني، ولكن أعتقد أنا جزيرة سوقطرة قد حصلت على حماية اليونسكو من فترة، أو لا؟

T: Socotra is still pristine; by UNESCO putting its seal on it, the Island will have proper attention and care. Otherwise, Yemen being as poor as it is, if UNESCO doesn't decide favorably for Socotra, the Island's uniqueness and rare wildlife and environment - will certainly be destroyed.

When visiting Socotra, be very well protected against malaria.
