Jadoo=E.T

India's Bollywood has copied themes and stories from many Hollywood films before; but few have had such success as Rajesh Roshan's scifi: 'Koi Mil Gaya': (2003); which is inspired by the 1982 Spilelberg film: E.T: The Extra-Terrestial. Incidentally, it's said E.T itself, was in fact, inspired by a script, by the Internationally renowned Indian-Bengali film director - the late Satyajit Ray!

Koi Mil Gaya has Jadoo, instead of E.T; Koi is a big hit here, just as it has been a super hit in many - Asian, African and other Middle Eastern countries. My two young sons are eagerly and impatiently waiting for the sequel to Koi: Kirrish; Kirrish has just been released. Just a point of note: Bollywoods Devdas is said to be one of the highest grossing films in Japan, ever! Talk of India rising! Is India the next super power? Or will it be China? Time.

I was wondering how easy is it to get internet in Hadramount? How much is it monthly? How much does it cost to rent a villa there?

Salamaat,
we keep joking about seeking asylum in China our at least our kids. Too bad they have so many people there already.

With the loss of jobs in the US and the high deficits; it's scary to look at hte long run of this country's life. They don't care though (the leaders) as long as big corporations are happy...who cares about the little people?

Bollywood; used to be a fan when i was much younger...now? i just don't have time to sit through that many hours of songs, rain and tears.

Anonymous - getting Internet, in all major towns in Hadhramout is easy. And cheap. Costs vary as to the kind of Internet, fast or slow - still, it won't cost you more than 50US$ a month; Lan service with a private satellite dish can cost about 500US$ a month.

Depending on the type of villa you want,rents vary from about 300US$ to 500US$.

Maliha - 'seeking assylum' for Americans, reminds me of 'The Day After Tomorrow'. Worldwide, people like American people - it's the American leadership that's hated.

I too very rarely can sit through a Bollywood film; but, the Family love them - and once in a while I share the watching with them.
