Congratulations Muhammad Farah!
Muhammad Farah |
With the 80,000 cheering, roaring, ecstatic home crowd boosting him on, Farah became the first Briton; and the first Somalia born, to win an Olympic gold medal in a long distant race. No Briton has won an Olympic distance event since Emil Voigt's gold in 1908. Farah, out outmaneuvered, outsmarted and out-sprinted the best and the finest distant runners in the world. And he won! Far away from Somalia, but still at home. “To win the Olympic Games in my home city is beyond words. This is my home, this is where I grew up,” he said. Congratulations Muhammad Farah!
